A running record of certified Columbus City Council district results, plus key dates for the November 3, 2026 general election. All results sourced from the Franklin County Board of Elections.

Upcoming: 2027. Districts on the ballot: 2, 5, 6, 8, 9. Districts 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 — members who drew 4-year terms in January 2024. All future terms are 4 years, staggered. Conditional: if Proposed Amendment No. 2 (Council's 13-member expansion) passes in November 2026, the 2027 ballot would also include the first two of four new at-large seats. Primaries are typically held in May, the general election in November. Filing information is available from the Franklin County Board of Elections.

Primary (2025-05-06): Primary canceled for Districts 1, 3, and 4 — only one candidate filed in each. District 7 had a contested primary; the top two advanced to November.

First Columbus City Council district elections under the 2018 charter amendment. All nine seats filled simultaneously. All Columbus voters voted in all nine races.

Election date: 2023-11-07

In January 2024, council members drew lots to determine initial term lengths. Districts 1, 3, 4, 7 drew 2-year terms (up for re-election in 2025). Districts 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 drew 4-year terms (up in 2027). All future terms are 4 years.
